The tape
Luther Burden III is the rare name that is both Keep #48 and Cold. Those two things are not a contradiction. The Keep says the talent and the 2025 138-yard game against San Francisco are real. The Cold board says the market asking WR19 is not. Sports Arena's trade: Burden for A.J. Brown if that is the ask. We agree with the trade and still like Burden as a long-term hold if you already have him at a reasonable cost.
Chicago will throw to a lot of people. That caps the 2026 weekly ceiling and does not kill the 2028 ceiling. Rookie receivers on crowded teams are where impatient managers donate first-round value.
Plus
- Keep #48 - 2025 Bears rookie WR tape (138-yard game vs. SF) that still looks like first-round talent.
- Youth in a passing game that will throw; the ceiling is a WR1 if the hierarchy shakes out.
Minus
- Cold: Sports Arena says ECR WR19 is too high - move him for A.J. Brown if that's the ask.
- Chicago's WR room is a committee (Odunze, Loveland, the backfield).
