Plus

  • Keep #36, Yates ~27 — Saints WR1 talent with a 2025 that put him back on the WR2/WR1-week map.
  • Route running still grades like a player who should be higher than a late-30s Keep slot.
  • Shows up on four-plus Ball Keep lists — not a one-board meme.

Minus

  • Injury history is the tax that keeps him out of the Nacua band.
  • New Orleans adding Tyson (rookie) is extra mouths if the passing volume doesn't grow.
  • Expert spread is wide (PFN (Katz/Soppe) 25, ESPN (Karabell) 37, KeepTradeCut SF 39, RotoWire 44…). You are betting with one camp, not a unanimous tape.

Ball Keep Take

Chris Olave's 2025 reel is a reminder that the route tree was never the problem. Keep #36, Yates 27th in PPR. When Olave is on the field, he still separates like a WR1. That is why the long boards cannot bury him even after the injury cycles that made managers queasy.

The Saints remaining a pass-catcher committee — now with Jordyn Tyson in the building — is the 2026 minus. Volume is the whole sport for a player like Olave. If it is there, he is a steal at Keep 36. If it is split three ways, he is a WR3 with WR2 spikes.

We are not selling Olave for a late second and a prayer. We are not paying London/Nabers money. He is a hold with a health asterisk, which is the least fun sentence on this site and still the correct one.
