The tape
Ladd McConkey is the receiver who wins on alignment and feel. Keep #38, three-board average 38.67. The 58-yard pickup we clipped from 2025 is not a trick play; it is McConkey getting open and Herbert trusting the timing. That pairing is why dynasty still has him inside the top 40 Superflex names.
He will never look like Chase. He does not have to. Slot receivers who run like McConkey and play with Herbert become PPR monsters in the right year. Our Keep rank is a 'we believe, we are not in love' rank.
Plus
- Keep #38 - Chargers slot/alpha hybrid with Herbert, a 58-yard setup clip that is the 2025 offense in one play.
- Youth and efficiency: the profile that quietly becomes a WR1 while people argue about flashier names.
Minus
- Not on Yates top 50 in our slice - redraft still treating him as a WR3/4 in some rooms.
- Chargers adding Hampton may steal designed touches McConkey used to see in gadget use.
