The tape
Kaytron Allen is the last name on our 2026 rookie sheet: Day 3 dart, Penn State bruiser, Commanders preseason 23-carry debut. That 23-carry clip is the plus - someone in Washington wanted to see him as a hammer. The minus is that preseason hammers become September inactives every year.
If the Commanders' backfield opens, Allen is a waiver-wire hero in redraft and a nice taxi hit in dynasty. If it doesn't, he was Rookie 20 and you spent a third. Superflex thirds are for this.
Plus
- Rookie #20 - Day 3 / third-round dart, Penn State mate of Singleton, Commanders 23-carry debut clip.
- Washington can feed a rookie back if the veterans slip; the preseason volume was a tell.
Minus
- Day-3 RBs are committees until proven otherwise.
- Commanders' passing game (Daniels) can steal scoring; this is a stash, not a starter.
