The tape
Ricky Pearsall's Cold tag is medical and chronological. FantasyPros' live update: out until roughly next September, age 27 on return, clear sell for win-now clubs. The 45-yard Can't-Miss bomb with Purdy is the player you are selling - a vertical piece in a good offense. You are not selling the 2026 season, because there isn't one.
Rebuilds can hold if the price is already zero. Contenders should move him for anything that helps 2026. Superflex benches can stash a 2027 lottery ticket. They should not pretend it is a 2026 starter.
Plus
- When healthy, the 2025 45-yard Can't-Miss with Purdy is a real WR2 skill set in Shanahan's offense.
- 49ers WRs can spike; the talent is not the Cold reason.
Minus
- Cold: FantasyPros live - out until ~next September, age 27 on return; sell for win-now clubs.
- Missing a year at 27 is how dynasty WR2s become WR4s.
